This is for my daughter, Greta, who we lost to  suicide Oct 13 2014, 14 weeks today. She was fondly known to many friends as Twoitle,or Geeface McTwoitle. She was oneofthe sweetest people in my life!

I finally got my memorial tattoo for my beloved. We had special nicknames for each other, he was Hook, I was Tink, he was AB, I was BB, plus others.  My memorial tattoo is the same Hook as he had, except where he had a "50" for his 50th birthday, I have "AB", which is in his own handwriting, copied from the last Christmas card he gave me. I love looking at it. It makes him feel closer.

I got this tattoo on my daughter Brianna's 18th bday, which was 18 days after she died, the day after my son Brice's 21 bday, 6 days after he died

My husband had a tattoo of Captain Hook's Hook, (see my photos), it has a "50" on it to commemorate his 59th birthday.  I think I will recreate that Hook, but instead of the number I'll put his initials, just the way he wrote it on cards he would give me.  The idea of adding some of his ashes appeals to me.  Can any artist do this?

I don't think getting tattooed hurts.  Some spots are more sensitive then others.  I know have 6.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More

Sibling Loss

This group is for anyone that has lost a brother or sister. Sibling loss is often minimized and people don't realize how devastating losing a sibling can be. I lost my older sister and my life will never be the same. She was my only sibling, I looked up to her, I went to her for everything. I lost my past, present and future. It is traumatic.See More

Triggers Continue to Surface

Late February is a challenging time of year for me.  Jen’s birthday is the 23rd and serves as an annual reminder of all of the potential that was lost…Her’s (mainly), mine, the world’s honestly.  This year she would be 52…It is increasingly hard to imagine, through all of the iterations possible, what she could have become, what was to be her (significant) impact on the world. That being said, things, emotions, have largely settled down since I committed a potential version of what could have…See More
