Profile Information

About Me:
I am a wife of a Military man. I am also a mother of four and I take care of my Uncle who is going to be 68 this year and now I take care of my mom who will be 61 this year. Also my youngest baby girl is Autistic, Lanuage disorder,ADHD, and just recently she has been found to have an Anxiety disorder with Sensory disorder. That is just a little about me.
About my Loss:
In Nov.14,2012 my daddy went to the doctor because he did not feel well. My mom took him and they noted he was yellow so they sent him for an ultra sound and saw something on his liver. They sent my father for an emergency Mri on Nov.15,2012 which was his 67th birthday. He got the test done and by noon the same day they called my parents and told them they need to seem them by 3:30pm the same day. What my parents were told at that time was that they believed that my daddy had liver and lung cancer. With in a week he was hospitalized with his organs shutting down. So at this time my husband took emergency leave and we went up to Oak Harbor, Washington to help my mother with what my father needed. We arrived by MAC flight on the 1st of Dec.2012 and had my father home by the 2nd of Dec., 2012 on Hospice he was able to have one last meal and then at 2am on the 3rd of Dec. he woke up screaming in pain so my mom gave him so pain meds and by 8:50pm on the 3rd of Dec.,2012 I was having to tell my mom that my father passed away. That is a part of my story and it is one of the hardest to talk about.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More

Sibling Loss

This group is for anyone that has lost a brother or sister. Sibling loss is often minimized and people don't realize how devastating losing a sibling can be. I lost my older sister and my life will never be the same. She was my only sibling, I looked up to her, I went to her for everything. I lost my past, present and future. It is traumatic.See More

Triggers Continue to Surface

Late February is a challenging time of year for me.  Jen’s birthday is the 23rd and serves as an annual reminder of all of the potential that was lost…Her’s (mainly), mine, the world’s honestly.  This year she would be 52…It is increasingly hard to imagine, through all of the iterations possible, what she could have become, what was to be her (significant) impact on the world. That being said, things, emotions, have largely settled down since I committed a potential version of what could have…See More
