Firstly, I am so sorry for your loss.  I know "sudden death", my husband passed away 3 wks after diagnosis.  No time for anything. Secondly, I think tats are a wonderful memorial.  I had one done with my husbands ashes mixed with the ink.

Wow now that mom has passed suddenly over labor day weekend this year 2013. I am lost for words but I was thinking about getting a tatoo like I did when grandma passed just two years ago. thinking about adding mom's stuff to grandma's or just getting a new spot for mom. decisions .hmmmm

That's beautiful Kara. This is my 15 year old sister's art drawing she did in class 3 days before she passed away.

Kara, your tatoo is so pretty. Yvonne, I love the tribute to your husband. My mom passed from pancreatic cancer, and I just met with a tattoo artist yesterday to design a memorial tattoo for her. It will incorporate her favorite flowers and her handwriting. I will post a pic once it's done.

After my husband passed away I had a tattoo done.  It took me 1 month to find an artist that would tattoo with his ashes mixed in the ink .... I have gotten good and bad reaction once ppl learn that his ashes are all in the tattoo ... I love it  000a06hHRmT11.jpg

The purple ribbon is for pancreatic cancer - the humming bird signifies messages from heaven - flowers are peace.

Being the Other Woman/Other Man

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
