No it's not fair.

Satan and Adam and Eve did a terrible terrible thing to all of us.

But the issue is NOT that they ate fruit. It is that they REBELLED against God. The issue is that disobedience (sin) means death.

Adam and Eve were not sorry for what they did. So their children were all born in this state of imperfection, and that includes us.

We Die because of this fact.

God has supplied the solution in the death of his Son Jesus, and his Kingdom arrangement. At the Second Comng of Christ he will cleanse the earth of all rebellious people and righteous ones will live.

This will bring the following conditions to the earth:

Revelation 21:4 — And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

It can be confusing as to why it seems to be taking so long for God to do this but the Bible helps us with that too

God is not punishing us. It is true that he is allowing this to go on.

Read the following article at the link below. You will also find other articles about the same topic.

http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20130901/why-suffering/

You can listen to the articles as well.

We must remember that God has the solution to the issue of suffering. We need to patiently endure until the time comes for him to step in and bring an end to all of this. AND HE WILL.

JO B

Yes they are being stolen from us. This imperfect state that we live with makes us grow old, get sick, die young, etc.

But we must remember that God has the solution. When he establishes his Kingdom here on earth then he will reverse all of the injustices that have happened.

We will be reunited with those who have been taken from us.

I focus on that. It gives me hope for the future. Something positive to think about.

Kelli

Interesting thought.

But remember that the issue was not as simple as the fruit they ate.

It was really an act of rebellion. Adam and Eve did not want to serve God.

Once they rebelled, their children were doomed to be born in an imperfect state. And because we are born in this imperfect state we die.

Why did God allow it to continue this way? Well, the only other just action would have been to destroy Adam and Eve on the spot. If he would have done that...we would not be alive today.

And we MUST remember that God has worked out a lasting solution through his Kingdom with Jesus as King. If we are patient, and faithful, we will see God bring an end to all of the suffering, and then reverse everything. The Resurrection will then reunite us all with the ones who have died.

What a JOYOUS time that will be.
Kelli,

The Bible tells us that we can see all of this happen while we continue to live right here on the earth.

We can keep living, and see our loved ones come back to life right here on the earth.

They will then never have to die again, and we will all live here with no sickness or death, no more suffering.
Kelli

God does intend to destroy Satan. And he will.

He has had good reasons to allow Satan some time to rule. When God destroys Satan we will have paradise forever.

It will be worth waiting for. Our pain will be gone and we will be nothing but JOYFUL.

me 2 kelli

its not fair tth we suufffer coz of thm 2 disabying god

evn wen u sea sycopaths or murders waking t st free 2 kill again insent pepel suffer for nothngg thy do

Kelli,

Let me tell you a little story:

There is a parent and this parent tells their child not to climb the tree because the child might fall and get hurt. However, the child thinks the parent is withholding a good time and the "fun" that climbing the tree would bring; besides the child doesn't like being told what to do. Well, you guessed it, the child disobeyed the parent and fell out of the tree and broke both arms. The breaks were so bad that they require surgery with pins, screws and plates to hold them together and months of painful physical therapy.

You might say the parent should have chopped the tree down so the child couldn’t get hurt. However, the tree not only provided food for their family the fruit was sold at the market and the money used to pay the family bills.

Well the parent has to choose to allow or refuse the surgery for their child. Without the surgery the child would not be able to use his arms but would heal in a matter of weeks with no additional pain. The parent also could choose to allow more pain to be caused the child in the surgery and subsequent physical therapy but then the child would have full normal use of his arms.

Which would you choose if you were the parent?

Well, God was put in much the same situation – Out of the myriads of angles that he created, one we call Satan, along with rebellious Adam and Eve chose to disobey and eat of the fruit of the only tree God kept for himself. Millions of angles watched to see if God would be just and truthful by sticking to his law of not eating the fruit from that single tree or they would die. Now he could have just killed them all right there and then. He had the power to do that. What would that have proven? That he was powerful – not that he was a just and a truthful ruler and not that his rule was best. God had to allow man & Satan the time to rule themselves without God and see if they could rule better than God. It also gave us the opportunity to worship God because we wanted to out of love and respect.

Humans were not created like animals, programed with instinct; we were given “free will”. We were given intelligence to make decisions for ourselves. The only way to prove whose rule is best was for God to let Satan and man try every form of government and give time to work it all out. Just like the parent in the story, God had a choice. The  parent had the power to refuse the surgery, or allow it. The parent did what was going to provide a good lasting benefit for their child allowing the surgery. God has allowed ample time and the world ruled by Satan and man has proven a dismal failure. (Ecclesiastes 8:9)” man has dominated man to his injury.” Yes it has been proven that some people are faithful to God out of love and respect. They obey his laws because they see that God is the rightful and best ruler of this universe. Remember if God had killed Adam and Eve right then and there, WE WOULD NOT HAVE EVER EXISTED!

The GOOD NEWS is that God will soon take back rule of the entire universe including this earth.

1. What is the news from God?

God wants people to enjoy life on earth. He created the earth and everything on it because he loves mankind. Soon he will act to provide a better future for people in every land. He will relieve mankind of the causes of suffering.—Read Jeremiah 29:11.

No government has ever succeeded in eliminating violence, disease, or death. But there is good news. Shortly, God will replace all human governments with his own government. Its subjects will enjoy peace and good health.—Read Isaiah 25:8; 33:24; Daniel 2:44.

2. Why is the good news urgent?

Suffering will end only when God clears the earth of bad people. (Zephaniah 2:3) When will that happen? God’s Word foretold the conditions that now threaten mankind. Current events indicate that God’s time to act is close.—Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

3. What should we do?

We should learn about God from his Word, the Bible. It is like a letter to us from a loving father. It tells us how to enjoy a better way of life now and how to enjoy everlasting life on earth in the future. True, some may not like it that you are receiving help to understand the Bible. But the opportunity of a better future is too good to miss.—Read Proverbs 29:25; Revelation 14:6, 7.

The only question is “What are we individually going to do”?

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
