Profile Information

About Me:
I'm a young adult beginning my life in a new city after graduating college. I'm a creative, compassionate, loyal person with much respect for others.
About my Loss:
I lost my mother to breast cancer when I was 6, after a long and traumatic period of illness. I went on to a childhood/adolescence riddled with abuse, estranged brothers and other family members, and substance abuse by family members. I recently lost 2 friends in the span of 2 weeks. Both deaths were sudden and random. I recently left a relationship with a man who became a heroin addict, with the knowledge that he could overdose at any moment. I'm extremely empathetic but often take on the burden of others to my own detriment.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
