it's challenging, Leonard. I miss my mom every day and I wish things were the way they were. i want to talk on the phone with my mom, eat her home cooked meals on the weekend, laugh at her jokes, and just be around her but I cant and there is nothing, nothing, nothing I can do. I still cry almost everyday but I know I must continue. Death is a part of life and it hurts a lot when someone you love is taken from you. Celebrate your sister's life. Time will make you  feel better. the pain of loss will diminish and your memories will become your comfort. Stay strong but don't deny yourself the grief you need to go through. It's a part the human experience we all have to go through.

hi Leonard, as hard as it sounds you have to stay strong and try to remember you are going through the process of grieving and that there is no shortcut to the process.  allow yourself to cry and feel all the emotions you are dealing knowing that it will be alright.  remember that your sister will want you to continue your life.  losing a loved one is painful my friend but you're not alone.  if you believe in the afterlife be comforted knowing that your sister is with you... just in a different way.  stay strong, Leonard.  you will get through this and eventually your heart and mind will accept the reality and will guide you, but you have to let it.  It's hard but not impossible.

hi Leonard, sorry for your loss.  it's difficult and uncomfortable talking about death but you have to find an outlet. I find this group to be a healthy way to release my feelings and keep them from bottling up.  hang in there.

Being the Other Woman/Other Man

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
