About my Loss:
I have recently found out about my biological mother's death who I have never met. I have just recently picked up her ashes and have been hit with the realization that she is truly gone and I will never met her

But there has always been an emptiness inside me. I wonder.. did you hold me that day you gave birth to me... before you gave up your rights?? I have a very similar story.  I never knew my Dad or brother - I found them, but it was too late, they were deceased.  I don't think anyone could ever understand what that's like  . . .  to search for your father all your life and then finally find him and he's dead.  So much pain.  Sounds like you may understand.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
