It's been just over 4 years and I'm finally starting to feel more myself, more focused.I was 46 when my brother,50 died.My boyfriend of 18 years and I found him on his kitchen floor. He was an alcoholic but still,no health problems. The Medical Examiner said his alcohol content was high but not deathly high for a long term drinker. He had his Zanax and Ultram show up in his blood but I was told both of those were very low doses. As hard as it was finding him like that and dealing with his loss, nothing prepared me for the events that let up to him ending up on the floor and after. Its a long story that I almost hate to write again because soo many words and I can't type fast enough.I'm very heppy to have found this site.I have been on a grief site shortly after his death but its all kinda a blur now.And although I'm come to terms with his death,I'm needing to reach out for others input on the events surrounding it so that somehow, someway,I can try to really put it behind me.Somedays,I feel I have, others I'm soo angry.I will post that part of my story in a bit and again,I"m happy to be here and I hope that I can be of help to others, also.I've never loss anyone I was so close to until my brother and it has changed me,,forever.

Thanks for listening,

Debby S

6months here Debby,

It is hard. My son 20 year old was shot. He was on the sofa around 4pm and 10 pm we (husband and I) in the emergency room hearing bad news. No one can imagine how I feel. The girl he was with knew something more. She told detectives here in Mobile, Alabama that they were playing Russian roulette. No one plays that but people have use that story to cover up something bad. I am sure he was scared of something or someone. He had a baby momma drama with his girlfriend other baby daddy.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
