This is the poem that was in my dads funeral program it brings to me to tears of joy and sadness

God looked around his garden
and found an empty place,
he then looked down upon the
earth and saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you and
lifted you to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
and the hills wer hard to climb,
so he closed your weary eyelids
and whispered "Peace Be Thine."

It broke our hearts to lose,
but you did not go alone....
For part of us went with you
the day called you home.

Im not sure how the author is but it is helpful to remember that God brought to where he is not suffering anymore, but it's still painful, it's hard to be happy that he isnt suffering anymore when you miss them sooooo much and there was sooo much left to say.

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
