Thanks Terry...I will appreciate your words of insight and wisdom! I have never experienced loss like this. It just hits me sometimes and I become very sad and don't know what to do! I know other people are going through the same thing as me. It's just that death is final and in one day your life changes forever! Is there any good sites that you can recommend that have helped you through your loss?

Hi Terry:

I lost my boyfriend over a month ago. It was sudden and out of nowhere! On Monday morning, I left his house and I went to work and he worked out of his home. On Tuesday, he was driving on his way to work cause he had a meeting in Orlando. He told me that he felt achy and tired. I told him after the meeting to go back to the hotel and rest. He called me that night from the hotel and he sounded horrible, I woke up at 5 am that night and started googling, 'Can people die from the stomach flu?" The next day I called to check on him and he checked out of his hotel and was driving home! He pulled into another hotel and he must have died in his car.I was the last person to talk with him and I kept calling him until a copy finally answered the phone and told me the horrible news. I will never forget that conversation for the rest of my life. I'm in grief couseling and I'm trying everything to get better. I just keep thinking about it. I'm not sure what to do from here.

One more thing Terry...
You said your boyfriend must have known something was wrong and pulled over...he is a hero. He must have known he was having a heart attack and perhaps pulled over so he didn't hurt anyone else. Too many times you hear on the news of someone having a heart attack and killing others.. Your boyfriend was a hero!

I understand that feeling...sometimes I just go for a ride...sit somewhere totally alone and talk to them. It helps me... My parents were creamated and they are here at my home but still I like to just get away...totally alone and talk to them. I try to imagine them sitting on a cloud looking down at me and smiling...try it..it may help.Thoughts are with you..I am here if you need a friend .

I am so sorry Terry for your loss. Losing your best friend...your soulmate...I am so sorry. I am no proffessional but I have found that if you take a few minutes totally alone and close your eyes...thinking so hard about this person, your favorite memory will appear..you will smile and perhaps even laugh. Hold onto this..your special person has been taken away however your memory can not. I wish you comfort. I can be a friend on line if you need one to just talk to.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
