About Me:
I'm 33 years old, not married, no childred. I work full-time and try to enjoy my weekends off. I have one dog, she is my baby; i've had her since she was 7 weeks old. In my free time I enjoy reading, swimming, movies, pool, traveling, just whatever sounds good at the time.
About my Loss:
I lost my brother on November 27th to Lymphoma. He just 30 years old in September. We just found out that he had cancer in late April and it progressed really fast to the point the Dr.s said there was nothing else they could do. He had 6 rounds of chemo and was to weak to do any kind of surgery. Right at the end they found a tumor/mass on one of the valves of his heart which caused him to have a couple of strokes; so he was pretty sedated right before he passed. He was the youngest of 3 kids; and even though we weren't as close as I wish we were, we would do anything for each other and could have a conversation about anything. He was always tough and never let anything get him down. It was just like a big chunk of my heart got ripped out. 3 days after my brother passed, my grandmother passed away; she was 77 years old. I wasn't as close to her as I was with my granny. I wish that I was, but I remember the fun times I had with my grandma like it was yesterday. My grandmother passed just from having health problems at an old age and she wasn't getting enough oxygen. I just really wasn't prepared to lose 2 family members in a 3 day period, but who is? That's all I know to say for now...

Being the Other Woman/Other Man

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
