About Me:
Simple country girl enjoys the outdoors. Riding horses, four-wheeler's, fishing, hiking and just about anything outside. When I'm inside I enjoy reading and cooking.
About my Loss:
I lost my Dad to melanoma cancer on March 6, 2012. He was 70 years old and had so much fight in him. He was diagnosed with diabetes in 1994 and did everything the doctors told him too. He retired in 2004 and enjoyed his life. He was diagnosed with melanoma cancer January of 2012. He cut the tip of his left ear around November of 2011 and the wound just wouldn't heal. Around Christmas time I looked at his ear noticed it had a black spot on it and said "Dad you better get that looked at" so he did and the PET scan only showed that it was his left ear and one part of his lymph node in his left neck. That was Jan 23 2012. Surgery was Feb 17, 2012 and that was the worst day of my Dad's and the families life. The cancer had spread through all left lymph nodes in his neck and traveled through his muscle and wrapped around his collar bone. They removed all that they could see. It was a major surgery. My Dad passed away 18 days later with all of his family by his side in the hospital. There is so much to say about how much I love him and how much I miss him. I don't even know where to begin.

Being the Other Woman/Other Man

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
