Profile Information

About Me:
I am 45 years old. I work for the State in which I live @ the Dept. of Transportation. I am single but have 5 nieces and 1 nephew and 2 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews. I enjoy reading and knitting in my spare time.
About my Loss:
I lost my father in October of this year, 2 weeks prior to his birthday, to cancer. It has been extremely difficult for me. I have always been a daddy's girl especially being the youngest to such a wonderful father. I miss him every day- I miss his smile, his laughter, his presence, and being able to talk to him about news stories.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
