Profile Information

About Me:
Youngest of 6. Married for 34 years to an amazing husband. We have 3 adult kids and one son in law. I have always lived with my parents and since my fathers passing have been the sole care for my 83 year old mom. We also have an adult Autistic son and for my husbands work like between WA and Florida.
About my Loss:
My father passed the day before Thanksgiving 2019. Prior to that he was the rock of our family. We shared a home with him and my mom so whenever she would get a bit tough to handle he and I would lean on one another to give each other breaks. But with him gone I've lost my support and sounding board. He and I were a team when it came to taking care of things in our home and with thing within our whole family of 35+ people. He ALWAYS knew how to make you laugh and see the humor in the darkest of times. He was the big teddy bear hug that made you know everything will work out.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
