Don't know what to do

My husband Joe died in front of me a little over a year ago.  He died the day after his 46th birthday. He was my world.  He was the third family member to die in six months.  After he died, my father…Continue

About Me:
52 year old widow no children recently diagnosed with breast cancer
About my Loss:
My husband and I were being intimate. He got out of bed, rubbed his chest, and dropped dead. I administered CPR but he was gone. He died the day after his 46th birthday. One year and one day later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The month leading up to the first anniversary of his passing was horrible, only to get worse. I had not even begun to live any kind of normal after his passing and now this. I look at it as one step closer to seeing Joe again, but know that I am going to die a horrible, painful death if I don't have some kind of treatment. I refused chemotherapy and am not a candidate for lumpectomy. Now I will be broken not only inside, but outside for all the world to see. Emotionally and physically scarred.

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
