Profile Information

About Me:
I am a mom of grown children, grandmother, daughter, sister, wife, and farmer.
About my Loss:
My dad died in July. He was sick for many years. I thought I was ready. I was wrong. A few weeks later, my best friends mom (whom I knew since a very young age) passed from cancer. She asked me to help her die. I could not. She was still so alive. Less than a week later, a young friend of my son's was gang raped. She is like family to us. I am overwhelmed. I have terrible dreams of others I love dying. I can't stop crying. Now my son has announced he is joining the army.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
