About Me:
I'm 49, male, now single. Trying to get back to the person I was.
About my Loss:
In Sept 26 of 2013, I gave my fiance a kiss as she was laying in bed and I was leaving for work around 9:30. My fiance's son,18, sends me a text to call him right away around 11 am while I am at work. I go to my office then I call him with him crying telling me "mama's dead". I scream what on the phone and I am on my way. My body went numb, I can hear nothing. I drove to my fiance's house where my fiance's sister comes up to hugs my telling me "I am sorry but she is gone". After that, my life crashed hard. The one person who have me joy, energy, love, reason to wake up every morning is now gone.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
