About my Loss:
My sister Mary is 8 years older than myself. On February 15th I got the call that she had collapsed and taken to the hospital. She was diagnosed with terminal cancr-tumors in her brain and lung. The cancer is too far advanced and she was sent home to live out her days. My sister lives in St. Louis and I in WA.-Unable to go to her right away was almost unbearable. My husban, oldest daughter and I just returned from spending time with her. One look at her-all the love I have for her came pouring out-looking at her in the hospital bed set up at her step sons house-heck I didn't even know how long her and hr husband had been married....I check on her status daily-today she was alert and asking what day it was-tonight she has slipped into a semi-colon not ating and drinking.....

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
