About my Loss:
Lost my husband to cancer, after being together for 24 years. It has been almost a year and a half since he died, on 9/3/14. Since that time I have been feeling so many different emotions. I miss him terribly and it has been sinking in that he is really gone. I miss his friendship, caring and most of all his love for me. He was a good man that I was lucky to have been his wife. Lately, I have gotten some of the pieces of my life back, such as work and moving into another house. It just seems that with all the big stuff out of the way, I am noticing his absence more and more and it is leaving me feeling empty and alone.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
