Profile Information

About Me:
I am 44 years old, married, two beautiful daughters; one is 25 and one is 12 years old. I own my own residential clenaing business. I have two brothers, both younger than me, married with children. I love my family very dearly-very close to them, summer bbqs, bacyard get togehters, holidays, etc...My girls are the blessings in mhy life.
About my Loss:
My mom passed away on July 10th, 2011. It was very sudden adn totally unexpected. She was not ill, no medications, nothing. She had a massive heart attack. I got the call to go to the hospital at 4am; I arrived there and they were working on her. My uncle and his wife were there and my two aunts that were here on holidays. Shortly after I got there, my brothers arrived. The doctor came in and explained that it was her heart and that they were still woring on her. Within 10 minutes or so of that-she was gone. I still see myself waling into that room; seeing her laying there; she was so cold. They had a tube in her throat and I remember thinking that she would hate that tube. I helopd her hand, issed her chees, taled with her, and jsut cried. How can I possibly have no mom? Just like that? She's gone? She was only 64 years old and she was my best friend. We taled every morning on the phone; her and I were both early risers and would have our coffee and chat and gossip. I miss her so very much and there really isn't anyone that I can tal to. I mean, everyone nows I am sad, that I miss her, but no one really ''gets it''. It's like the rest of the world has carried on and I just can't.

"Welcome to the group.  I lost my partner on February 5th this year, so it's still pretty raw for me too.  Reading through your story really touched a chord with me.  Like you, I didn't think I would ever find a group like…"

Being the Other Woman/Other Man

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More
