About Me:
I am a breast cancer survivor. I have 5 children and 15 grandchildren. I was retired, but I'm going back into teaching; I will start out subbing and step into whatever position becomes available.
About my Loss:
My husband of 34 1/2 year had a heart attack on September 12th and then he had a stroke and passed away on September 15th. He was 71, but he was the picture of health. We all thought he would live to be 90 or 100. Even as he was having the heart attack the nurses and doctor couldn't believe he was 71 or that he was having a heart attack. The cardiologist had to insist that he was in serious trouble. I am absolutely devastated.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
