Profile Information

About Me:
I am retired from home improvement retail. I was born in California but have lived in Oregon almost my whole life. I'm married with 4 adult children 3 biological and one adopted.
About my Loss:
August 5th 2021i lost my best friend to live failure. 2 months later a dear friend I had worked with 14 years passed from covid. December of the same year one of my nephews passed. During this time another friendship drifted apart because I was so angry from all of the loss, which hurt even more. Then just a couple of weeks ago another nephew passed and it opened up all of the wounds that hadn't healed from before. I was a manager where I worked so I couldn't slow down to properly grieve. I feel like I'm doing okay but I know I'm not.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
