About Me:
I am 32 and live in nj and I am a hvac mechanic.
About my Loss:
I'll never forget the day, it was October 28th 2014 and my dad was in the hospital because he was not feeling well I was on my lunch break and I wanted to call him as I was very busy that day and didn't want to miss him before he had to do more testing, after about two minutes of chit chat he said to call your mother and I said ok but before we hung up he said to me to remember that he loves me most and that everything would be ok, my mom told me that my father had stage 4 pancreatic cancer and he was going to die and didn't have much time.. It progressed fast and he passed away that December just shy of Christmas he was 65 and was my best friend and my hero, a week or two after his funeral my mother complained of back pain we took her to the hospital and they said she had cracked ribs and would be ok, a few weeks after that we found out she had stage 4 lung and bone cancer and after losing my father her husband of 30+years she didn't have the strength to fight and passed away that February and she was only 63 my lift has been a drift ever since I miss them every second of the day and they are always on my mind.. People tell me it was a true love story and that one couldn't live without the other but I can't help but feel slighted and cheated out of my parents.. My three sisters and I loved them so much and they were such a big part of our lives and I find it very difficult to cope sometimes.. I don't ever do this kind of online forum thing but I'm hoping that maybe if other people hear my story and I hear theirs it might help.

"Welcome to the group.  I lost my partner on February 5th this year, so it's still pretty raw for me too.  Reading through your story really touched a chord with me.  Like you, I didn't think I would ever find a group like…"

Being the Other Woman/Other Man

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More
