Brian Sodoma commented on Kathleen Jordan's group What's Next?
"Hi Kathleen, I was intrigued by your title "What's next?" I feel that often we can all get caught up in the story of our grief, our pain and trauma. Not that it's not important. This pain is real. It comes and goes, but lives…"

Brian Sodoma replied to Tiffany 's discussion How to grieve without your soul leaving you
"Hi Tiffany, wow what a story. So sorry to hear of your loss. I don't know that I have any answers for you, but I have an observation of my own. I lost my daughter to cancer about five years ago. While my wife is the one who is more inclined to…"

Profile Information

About Me:
I live in Arizona. I am a freelance writer and have been a copywriter and journalist for more than 20 years. I am married and have an 18-year-old son who just graduated high school.
About my Loss:
I lost my daughter to leukemia on Oct. 1 2016, a couple months shy of her 9th birthday. Her name is Galia. She loved art, butterflies, dogs and doing cartwheels on beaches. She gave us so much, and I hope to one day find a way to leverage grief and our life with her into something meaningful for others.

Sibling Loss

This group is for anyone that has lost a brother or sister. Sibling loss is often minimized and people don't realize how devastating losing a sibling can be. I lost my older sister and my life will never be the same. She was my only sibling, I looked up to her, I went to her for everything. I lost my past, present and future. It is traumatic.See More

Triggers Continue to Surface

Late February is a challenging time of year for me.  Jen’s birthday is the 23rd and serves as an annual reminder of all of the potential that was lost…Her’s (mainly), mine, the world’s honestly.  This year she would be 52…It is increasingly hard to imagine, through all of the iterations possible, what she could have become, what was to be her (significant) impact on the world. That being said, things, emotions, have largely settled down since I committed a potential version of what could have…See More
