A very good friend of mine lost her husband in January. Her daughter found this quote and posted it the other day on FB. It is so profoundly true that I wanted to share it with you. Grief isn't a destination but it is a journey. Each person makes this journey in his or her own way and in his or her own time.
You and your mom will travel this road differently - sometimes you may comfort each other but sometimes you may want to be alone with your grief. Whatever your need, or your mother's need, just remember they may be different and at different times. It is OKAY and you are normal. I believe that God wants to help you through this and I hope you do to. (Isaiah 41:10) "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness.’"
