About Me:
my name is davina and i am married to stuart for 30 years, we have 2 daughters gemma and mia, and a new little gtandaughter called ruby who is 1 week old.
About my Loss:
we lost our daughter gemma ia rta 5 years ago on the 14th dec, gem went out in the morning and said "dont go in my bedroom mum cos your christmas present is on my bed, i wont be long, then i am goint to wrap it" those were the last words i heard my daughter say and the last time i saw her. her boyfriend was driving too fast and swerved into a tree, our darling gem took full impact and was killed instantly. I will never ever forgive him, he is ok and driving around and getting on with his life. as for us our lives will never ever be the same, we love and miss gem more and more each day.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your daughter. I lost my cousin in a car accident and the shock of losing him instantly was hard to wrap your head around for a long time afterwards. I hope that you find healing in what you are going through. My heart and prayers go out to you!

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your daughter. We here, understand your pain. Even though many of us have lost children in different ways, we have all lost a child. Please read through all the different thread in the group. There are many good poems from Gail that may help. You are added to my prayers. ~ Ann

Being the Other Woman/Other Man

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
