About Me:
Hello, my name is Alexis Paige Zarycki, I am 21 years old, and I am coping with the loss of my mother. I am a writer and very spiritual, however I feel as if I need to open up to others in order to cope with my loss. Losing my mother at such a young age makes me very angry, and I need help during this difficult time.
About my Loss:
My mother passed away physically today after a three year long battle with stomach cancer. My mother is and always will be my best girlfriend. The woman who sang to me, fought my battles, taught me how to be amazing. I now have to go the rest of my life without her physically here with me.

My name is Alexis Zarycki and I want to share with you all some news. In February of 2015 I lost my mother at the age of 21 years old to a three year battle of stomach cancer.

I wasn’t going to post this, but then someone I love sort of convinced me.

So here it goes.

Today I woke up at 5:20am.

Today, my mother left her physical body here on Earth at 5:20am.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. That we as humans are spiritual beings, made up of energy. That we never truly die. Frankly, I believe there is no such thing as dying, because our souls live on in many ways.

I have always noticed that death is an…

My daughter is 23 and lost her father, my husband, Nov. 6, 2014. Her response is that she is angry. I have had's normal. So go ahead and be angry...let your family be angry, as long as it isn't at you. It sounds like you have a pretty decent handle on dying and souls and that will help you...maybe it will eventually rub off on the rest of the family.

Regardless, it's ok to mourn her. Her physical entity may not be here, but, her spirit, her soul, lives on in you. Maybe you can help your family understand that. In the meantime, know that you are not alone and that you can vent on this site anytime and will be among friends who know what you are going thru.

Healing Repetition

An uncle in our family committed suicide.  For five years his wife, Aunt Alice, said the same things over and over again to anyone who would listen.  We are a loving family, so we listened and said the same hopefully comforting things back to her again and again.  And after five years she was done and could move on.  I hope it doesn't take five years, but I need to talk about my Uncle Jim and my cousin Paul and probably repeat myself a lot. It took a long time to develop my relationship with…See More

Hello, a little bit about me.

Two months ago, my mom committed suicide. As of now, this has to be one of the hardest things I have ever dealt with in my life. I hope that through this forum I may be able to just reach out to someone who can kind of understand what my situation is like.My friends try to talk to me (and I do reach out to them) but I feel that the situation I am in is a really heavy thing to talk about (basically I don't want to rope my friends into my troubles, nor do I want to be a burden to them). I talk to…See More

The Little Things

This morning there was a crescent moon.  I always called it a "fingernail moon," but my cousin Paul called it a "toenail moon."  I got all choked up seeing it.  Then the Valentine cards are out at Walmart.  He loved all the holidays, and I always sent him cards.  But no more.  More tears to fight back.  Sometimes his love for you would overflow, and he would just have to give you a big hug and tell you that he loved you right then and there.  I have never had anyone else do that for me.  I knew…See More
