It is nice to know that I can write on this wall my feelings. My mom passed away a few weeks ago . All the people who expressed sympathy are now nowhere to be found. She had Pancreatic Cancer for 8 months. She was my best friend and person to talk to about it all! I miss her everyday and would like to talk and also support others who need to talk.

Jayne...I have just joined this Group...and the Community today.  I am so sorry to hear about your Mum. My Mum passed away 13 weeks ago...and I still cannot believe she is no longer here...and I miss her every day as well...and I don't think that will ever go away Jayne...I think we just find a way to manage our grief.

When my mother died, I felt I had lost the anchor that had helped me through the storms of my life. It has been hard to realize I am now the oldest in my family and no longer have her here. I do believe she is with me in spirit though, and that helps so very much. I continue to talk to her, ask for advice and help, and I believe she hears and does all she can. I was raised that way, so it is not hard for me. Would seem strange to lots of folks for sure.

Sibling Loss

This group is for anyone that has lost a brother or sister. Sibling loss is often minimized and people don't realize how devastating losing a sibling can be. I lost my older sister and my life will never be the same. She was my only sibling, I looked up to her, I went to her for everything. I lost my past, present and future. It is traumatic.See More

Triggers Continue to Surface

Late February is a challenging time of year for me.  Jen’s birthday is the 23rd and serves as an annual reminder of all of the potential that was lost…Her’s (mainly), mine, the world’s honestly.  This year she would be 52…It is increasingly hard to imagine, through all of the iterations possible, what she could have become, what was to be her (significant) impact on the world. That being said, things, emotions, have largely settled down since I committed a potential version of what could have…See More
