Profile Information

About Me:
I'm 48 and newly widowed. I have a son 19 that moved home to help me due to his dad, my husbands death. I have a daughter, 12/7th grade. I've been a teachers aide for special education for the last 15 years.
About my Loss:
My husband, age 46, went into the hospital 08/09/2016 and died there 09/02/2016. He'd had pnuemonia in July and never got well so I took him to a local ER on 08/08/2016. Dr.s originally thought it was osteomylitis, but 3 weeks into his hospital stay they found it to be Stage 4 cancer. It was unexpected and happened really fast.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
