About my Loss:
The light of my life died suddenly on February 28, 2012. David and I met over the phone by accident and have talked on the phone everyday for the past five years. We lived 1489 miles apart and we never once met in person. No one in his life knows about me and no one in my life knew about him. I found out that he died on facebook. I had not heard from him in over a week. One night I called him and his "voicemail box was full". I knew something was terribly wrong. It was strange not being able to get a hold of him. I went to his fb page to see if he put out a message with any information. When I saw 1963-2012 after his name I fell to the floor. It's been a hard couple of months. He was my very best friend.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
