MyHotComments
I am 54, married to a most loving and supportive husband. I hae 3 daughters, and 4 grandchildren. I have been caregiver for my sister who is terminally ill, going thru her end stage of death now. She is my closest sister and best friend.
About my Loss:
In the year 2007, I lost my grandparents an father. In 2009 my grandson reported his mom for child abuse, so she has taken all contact away from me and the entire family from seeing the 2 youngest. Briah is 2, and Gavin, my only grandson who I raised for 6.5 years, is gonna 8 in Aug. I am not dealing with that at all. In March 2010, I lost a very good friend of 45 years, and my mother. Now I am about to loose my sister, my best friend.

learn to love and forgive, you never know what tomarrow brings, don't live with those regrets.

You can't put a time limit to grieving. You never know how long it might take. When there are so many deaths together, it seems like there won't be an end to greiving. I do knw that you should never hold grudgees. you never know what tomarrow is gonna bring. So don't live with those regrets.

hello dinese. I am so sorry for the loss of your sister and parents. I can't even imagine the agony you must be facing. Although, I do have an idea. I lost my mother two years ago and It's still extremely difficult to deal with. I'm here if you need me.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More

Sibling Loss

This group is for anyone that has lost a brother or sister. Sibling loss is often minimized and people don't realize how devastating losing a sibling can be. I lost my older sister and my life will never be the same. She was my only sibling, I looked up to her, I went to her for everything. I lost my past, present and future. It is traumatic.See More

Triggers Continue to Surface

Late February is a challenging time of year for me.  Jen’s birthday is the 23rd and serves as an annual reminder of all of the potential that was lost…Her’s (mainly), mine, the world’s honestly.  This year she would be 52…It is increasingly hard to imagine, through all of the iterations possible, what she could have become, what was to be her (significant) impact on the world. That being said, things, emotions, have largely settled down since I committed a potential version of what could have…See More
