Hi Cheryl, Im very sorry you are a member of the widows club that none of us want to join.  My husband passed away July 2011.  I understand the loneliness very well.  One of the reasons I started to work again after 15 months off was to have face to face contact with others more often.  Keeping busy is the answer for me at this point.  Maybe you could find a part time job, or volunteer to have the same contact with others.  Take gentle care of yourself.  Hugs.

Do you have any friends that you can go out with or any senior centers? My mom lost my dad 3 1/2 years ago and still misses him every day. I feel your pain and the deep sadness. You are not alone in how you feel.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
