About Me:
A sometimes miserable person with comorbid bipolar, borderline personality, and obsessive compulsive disorder. Despite this, I am not "insane" and do not appreciate being treated as such. I have spiritual beliefs but do not care to be preached at about anyone's particular concept of "God." Although I can be curmudgeony, I will never belittle anyone else's grief.
About my Loss:
Recently lost my father after a long period of deterioration following a hemorrhagic stroke in June of 2004. The first 2 years he was functional though impaired. Then he had a bad fall, tore the quadriceps muscle, lost the ability to walk. Developed CHF, was progressively becoming more demented. He died November 28 at the age of 74.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
