Victims of Violent Crimes

A group for anyone was the victim of a violent crime of any kind, or those who wish to support then. I was shot on October 5th 2005 and still deal with it physically and mentally everyday.

i wasn't personally a victim of a violent crime, but on July 8, 2012, me and my fiance witnessed my maternal aunt get shot 7 times in the chest by her ex boyfriend. our lives were threatened as well because the shooter pointed the gun at us and said he would kill us if we didnt get out of the house, the only reason why we are still alive is because he ran out of bullets. he unloaded a full clip into my aunt. it was the hardest thing i have ever dealt with besides the death of my mom back in 2007 from stage 4 breast cancer.

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
