About my Loss:
It began with the police pursuing my brother in an illegal car chase on a -20 degree night. My brother's car went off the road and he fled into the woods. It ended with the police not caring to look for him, because it was too cold for them. They prevented people from going out to look for him, and even threatened to arrest anyone that tried to go out into the woods to follow his tracks. My brother froze to death in the woods that night while the police sat by. They had a problem with my brother, they didn't like him because of a lie another officer had told years ago. They knew he would die that night, and they didn't care. They murdered him that night when they did absolutely nothing to try to save him, when they didn't allow his friends who were on scene to go look for him, when they didn't contact his family that he was in the woods on foot in -20 degree weather. The police killed him that night, and my life will never be the same again.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
