Hi! I joined your group just now because I need a venue to vent out my feelings for losing my son too soon!
My son Gabs (short for Gabriel) passed away last April 10, 2015 of AV Malformation. He was just 14yrs old. It happened so fast. He was having a very severe headache and blurred vision after a basketball practice. We brought him to the ER, and in a matter of minutes, he was in coma already! He passed away after 2days.
We didn't get the chance to really say goodbye to him! He was so active and healthy. We had so many plans together! He was just starting his life, starting to lose his baby fats and he was so handsome and sweet and caring!
I guess God has different plans from us! I cannot help but ask Him why but we have to accept that He is in control! Thinking that Gabs is in heaven, no more pain, our personal Angel Gabriel watching over us, helps us a little in coping with our grief! :(

Hi

I am so so sorry for your loss. It is such a devastating loss but I hope you can find support. here. We all understand how you feel. I lost my only child, Daniel in a tragic car accident 29 months ago. He was 17. He was my world. this is difficult road but at least we don't walk it alone.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
