Hi everyone. My name is Scott. I recently lost my 18 year old step daughter to a sudden and as yet unexplained illness. I am seeking support for myself and my wife and saw that you have a weekly Zoom meeting on Mondays. Didn't know what I needed to do in order to be able to attend so I am reaching out here. Thanks so much. So glad this community is here.

Great thanks. "See" you then.

Hello Scott.  I am deeply sorry to read about the loss of your young daughter.  I can't know that heartbreak and pain that you and your wife are feeling, but I can empathize with the powerful grief you are suffering.  Ms. Diana has a Zoom meeting that she started and facilitates each Monday.  You can find a link to the meeting in the Zoom Grief Support Group that has all the information.  Again, I am deeply sorry for your loss.  I have also posted the information below:

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
