Hello Everyone,

my name is Helen, I just lost my partner of 30 years this July 2,2017 to cervical cancer. Ever since her passing its been  extremely difficult to move on in life, and  the emotional pain is just  unbearable some days. Every tells me that as  time goes by my pain will lessen. I really hope there right

Hi Helen, so sorry, I lost Shirl in March, actually I didn't loose her she died of a cardiac arrest in my arms. I'd like to tell you it gets better but at nearly 6 months I'm still struggling. All I can say is take it hour by hour, just do what you want and what feels right for you. Shirl and I were together for 36 years since I was 16, and the person I was died that day with her. I just hope one day a new me will come out of this alive x
Hi Jackie thank you so much for the reply and it answered a lot of questions that I had I haven't had a panic attack yet not that I know of but the fear of being alone I do feel and loneliness I know it's only been about a month since she's passed away and it's still very fresh for me there are some days I cry and then there's some other days I don't cry some some days are worse than others but I managed to just keep on going I have to that's what you would want me to do thank you for the hugs and I send you hugs in return. Helen

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
