Thanks, Alin, for your kindness. It is a daily struggle, as you well know. I see that today is an unhappy anniversary for you. I am so sorry! I cannot even imagine the pain you are going through, to lose both your parents so close together. Its hard to lose them at any age, but 31 is just too young to be without parents. I was 43 when my mom died, and that was still too young! I hope you have some close friends and family to be a support. I am grateful for this site, it has helped to be with other people who understand. Anyway, you be strong too! You are in my thoughts and prayers, sweet girl! Hugs to you...
Alin, my heart aches for you ! I am so very sorry about you losing your Mom. To lose both your parents so close together, I can only imagine how great the pain you must be feeling. I want you to feel free to message me anytime you need to. I know we are all virtual strangers on here, but we all share a common bond-- the death of our loved ones. Please continue to keep in touch. If you click on the 'Members' icon above, there is a page that shows some of the counselors on here. There's a counselor by the name of Dennis C. If you click his picture it takes you to his page. On the left hand side of his page you can scroll down to where it says "Dennis' Discussions". There is a link to access a brochure entitled , " When Someone You Love Dies." I found it to be very comforting, maybe you would to. It answers alot of questions people have when they lose a loved one. Dennis is also a very kind and comforting person to talk to. I have a son who is 29, and I know he would be devastated if he lost his father and me! So please, again, feel free to message me anytime. I am here and willing to be a shoulder to cry on, sweet girl! Sending you big hug...
Hi Alin, I was just wondering how you are. I am almost afraid to ask, but I am hoping with my heart that your Mom is doing better. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Anyone who has lost their gay partner..soon finds that there may be a few things that are different...such as sorting through things and feeling like an intruder because it is also family stuff etcSee More
An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true. Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions. This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More

Truly so sorry, Alin ... I've had two great and irreplaceable losses within a short period of time, too, including my mother. I know how you feel.
