I'm really missing both of my parents right now. I'm single. No kids. I have no one left to care for nor do I have anyone to care for me. Feeling lost and alone. Every day is a struggle. :(

Being abandoned is a horrible feeling. I feel your pain. I wish I had the answer for you. I am the only one left from my birth family. It is devastating. I understand and wish you peace. I will pray for you.
Thanks for the prayers!

Same here Jill.  I lost both my parents and they were my world.  Life will never be the same but I do thank them constantly for being such great parents and giving me such love and great life.  I guess that's what happens when you are loved so much and then when it is gone you really feel it.

Thanks Dana and sorry to hear of your losses. It's so agonizingly (is that even a word? LOL) hard. I'm in my 30s and know of no one my age who has lost both of her parents. I feel so alone in all of this.

its tough for people in their 30's or even 40's to survive well.  Write to me Jill.

I'm 32 and lost my mom and dad 24 hours apart in December 2014.  I'm single, no kids, spent all my time with my parents even though I did not live with them.  Every day is a struggle and it hasn't gotten any easier...

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
