Hi Rudi...can't remember if I posted something to you..that's how the days go. So very very sorry for you and for your precious grandsons.  The group helps us know that we are not alone in our pain and most people don't understand how lost and alone and empty we are.  My 18 year old son is gone 7 weeks ago and I just feel like I'm going through the motions every day, it's awful.  Sending you big hugs.  I see you are in Glendale, AZ..very nice, we have a house in Mesa but are in CA working now...

Hi Sylvia. I am sorry. I lost my son on September 6, 2014. I think we are all trying to figure it out together. So far, I found this site a comfort. Just knowing that I am not going insane in my grief. My son's birthday was Nov. 5. Your son sounds like a sweetie giving you big hugs. I know how you feel, it does feel like the pain is getting more and more intense. I have had a few numb days, which are a relief, but when I let the pain in, oh man!! It feels like it will kill me. Big hugs to you!

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
