I miss you & love you with every breathe Daddy'O. Save me a dance. ♡♡

“The Kid”

Why do we cry for a soul set free?

This is a journey we all must take and yours was honorable. Traveled with a lifetime of adventure and shenanigans, with pride and a love of family, country and God that seemed unwavering to all who knew you.

Born to a soul of a storyteller- you had no need to be average or normal. You did not just live life you devoured it. Your divine chosen path took you down many roads and you wore many hats. Being a single father to 2 girls and a Papa to your grandchildren were just a couple of those hats. But they were the hats that made you the proudest and you wore them very well.

The encouragement, advice and a swift kick in the ass you gave us all at one time or another was always out of love. You were without a doubt one of a kind.

You are loved - You are missed beyond measure. You are the forever HERO of our hearts. Tonight we will honor the memories of YOU, per your request, Master Sargent Hart.

So Pops, Papa, Daddy'O…

There will be no taps played at this soiree, there will be no 21 gun salute. OUR farewell will be simple with a shot of “Gentleman’s Jack” & a lot of hot air, because how else would a truly GREAT story begin….

Thank you for being my Daddy, my best friend, my confidant, &my biggest fan.
My world will never be the same.

                                     Sayonara Daddy'O, I’ll be seeing you ♡♡

Back story: My sister and I had not input on our fathers memorial service, so we had a small service of our own where we all  vacationed together last, Panama City Fl.  I wrote this for my Daddy, and it was read, we spread some of his ashes in the ocean, it was one of his favorite places, we ended our lil' soiree, as he liked to say, with a shot of Gentleman's Jack, a grand Salute' to our guy, we poured a shot in the sand in his honor & yes his name is Jack, & then we sent Hart shaped balloons into the heavens with notes from us and our children, the Harts for our name of course & we ended it with my song for my Daddy,

" I hope your Dancing in the Sky.'

It was exactly what my father would have wanted, I only wish I had his storytelling abilities as he was in fact,

"THE BEST STORYTELLER EVER"

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
