Thank you Jean, a friend of mine said to me, that when the "tornado" starts to just hold still, it will stop

I understand what you are going through. I lost my mother a year and a half ago and only now am emotionally "ready" to start probate. All of this is the most overwhelming thing I have ever been through. Once I go to court it's going to get really hectic and I am afraid it will break me. Thankfully I only have two siblings to deal with. One is going to be a problem I think. I am also in charge of my grandmothers estate and paying all taxes and insurance etc etc etc. My advice to you is just focus on taking care of yourself right now. Hopefully you are able to take some time to just get used to this new life. I miss my mother everyday and I still cry for her. I am around the same age as you and the thought of losing my husband on top of everything else would more than likely send me off the deep end. Somehow we will get through this but the void they have left is permanent. Her room at my house is as she left it. I cannot go in there without crying. All those things of hers just make me feel very sad.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
