I am writing just to let everyone know that I am still out there. I have been having a very bad time of it lately, today being the worse day since she passed. I don't really feel like talking at this time as all I have been doing is sobbing and I have finally stopped and don't want to start again. Love to all.

Bonnie, your comment about being a lot stronger while she was dying than you are now is normal.  I felt the same way standing by my dying daughter the months that she was living, but now after she is gone, I feel like I am falling to pieces.  This morning at 3 a.m. laying in my bed I had a total "meltdown" and cried for over an hour.  I know it is post traumatic syndrome that has happened as in any crucial situation where our adrenal keeps us going and we are strong when wehave to be and, now, that is has happened we have time to really relive all of it.  Just know my dear that you are not alone in your feelings and we will get through by the "grace of God" and sweet support friends as I see here.  I am new on the site.  God Bless and know I am your friend and am going through the same feelings and pain as you are.

Morning Bonnie,

Please read the emails I have sent you  - I hope you find the information helpful. And I hope today is better than yesterday.

(Philippians 4:6, 7) Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God;  and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.

Hello Bonnie, I just wanted to leave a quick note to let you know that I am thinking of you.  I understand where you are in this first week and my heart aches for you.  I hope you are taking care of yourself as best you can.

Love & hugs.

Hello Bonnie, I just read your message and I know you are dealing with raw emotions.  This wound is like no other and I wish their was a remedy, but there isn't.  It's a moment by moment, hour by hour, & day by day thing.  You mentioned Mother's Day and how hard it's going to be.  I agree, it will be hard, just as every holiday, birthday, and anniversary.  The first ones are scary.  I would tell you to try not to think of it if it's possible, but that probably won't happen.  Just know that whatever you are going through is normal.  We've all been there and we are still here.  Please take care of yourself in whatever way you can.

I hope you have family & friends close to you right now.  We are here for each other, but sadly, we can't be together.  Many have said that going to meetings has helped them.  You may want to look and see what is in your area.  I've heard a lot of good things about Compassionate Friends.  I don't have one close to me or I would have gone.  Just something to think about.

Sending hugs and blessings your way.

Bonnie, sorry is not even acceptable right now, but my heart is aching for you.  I am keeping you and your family in my prayers.  I wish it could be more.

Right now you need to do whatever it is that will give you strength.  Please take care of yourself.

Sara is in the Hospice facility and the vent was removed early but she still lingers on.  Her heart is strong and she is young and this could go on and on.  He dad is staying the night and we can be ready at the drop of a hat to go back.  They are giving her meds, including Morphine, to make her comfortable and out of pain.  My son and I will go back in the morning and we need as many prayers as we can get.  I can't believe this is happening.

Bonnie, we don't know each other on here, but I just read about your daughter and I am so very sorry.  I can't imagine what you are living right now.  It's so hard losing a child, but having to let them go is beyond my comprehension.  I can only say a prayer for you, your daughter, and family.  Wish it could be more as I know how hard it's going to be for you.  Know that I will be with you in thought & prayer.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More

Sibling Loss

This group is for anyone that has lost a brother or sister. Sibling loss is often minimized and people don't realize how devastating losing a sibling can be. I lost my older sister and my life will never be the same. She was my only sibling, I looked up to her, I went to her for everything. I lost my past, present and future. It is traumatic.See More

Triggers Continue to Surface

Late February is a challenging time of year for me.  Jen’s birthday is the 23rd and serves as an annual reminder of all of the potential that was lost…Her’s (mainly), mine, the world’s honestly.  This year she would be 52…It is increasingly hard to imagine, through all of the iterations possible, what she could have become, what was to be her (significant) impact on the world. That being said, things, emotions, have largely settled down since I committed a potential version of what could have…See More
