About Me:
I am dealing with a huge loss in my life and thought an online support group might help.
About my Loss:
My lifelong friend has been in the hospital for over a month with brain damage. He has been a lifelong alcoholic, so there is all the grief and emotional fall out of that as well. He will most likely recover to some extent, but will end up in a nursing home and is not recovering as well as the drs had hoped. There have been other major loses for me this year too. One of my best friends who was like a mother/sister to me passed in June and I've lost 3 of my pets in the last 6 months. I am just so tired of feeling horrible.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
