Profile Information

About Me:
I am married with one daughter and 2 furry kids. I like to lounge in the pool, fish, camp, hike, generally be outdoors.
About my Loss:
I lost my mom on October 26 2020 very suddenly to alcoholic liver cirrhosis. The last time I saw my mom alive she had lost the ability to speak or walk and she was being rushed into the ICU. She didn't even make it to surgery before she passed. We had no idea her alcoholism had taken a physical effect. It makes it so much worse because I was an alcoholic as well but got sober 3 years ago, if I could do why couldn't she? So many why's it still hurts so much. There is so much I wanted to say and apologize for that I didn't get to. She will never see her granddaughter graduate, get married have kids...how do I do this without my mom?

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
