Profile Information

About Me:
I am a divorced female, no children, 3 lovable dogs, two brothers, one niece. I live in upstate New York.
About my Loss:
My mother, my best friend passed away on June 9, 2014 from a Stage IV Breast Cancer. My mother was the rock to our very small family. Unfortunately we have a 10+ hours driving distance between us so I was not fortunate enough to have been with her on a daily basis. I feel very sad that I was not by her side when she took her last breath. I miss her so much and I have such a hole in my heart. Although I am grateful that she is no longer in pain, I am still selfish for wanting her back.

I know how you feel. My mother died on march 31st,2014. She was not just my mother she was my best friend. She went on vacation with one of my older sisters and didnt come back the way she went. She died in a hospital in florida. I didnt get to say goodbye.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
