About Me:
I'm a lucky mom to a precious 3yr old boy. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis & fibromyalgia, but am a fighter. I love people, love to read, do anything outside, & am thankful God is with me every step of the way.
About my Loss:
My mom suffered my whole life in & out of hospitals with Crohns, RA, Colitis. She would always come out of a rough patch with the illnesses. I gave birth to my precious boy on April 2, 2009...& she got so sick she was unable to come to the hospital to see us. I spoke to her the day before going in to induce & she was fine. Things progressed & I lost her 22 days after giving birth...on April 24, 2009. I'm an only child & she was my best friend, my biggest fan, the window into my past..& all at once she was gone. To this day just the thought of her brings me to tears. Her mother, my other best friend..died almost 2 years later to the day..April 14, 2011. I have been an emotional mess w/o them as an only child trying to figure out the "mom" role. I still have things I need to pick up the phone & call them about.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
