About Me:
I lost my brother 4 years ago Feb 11 2012 followed by the collapse of a 10 year marriage. I am currently a stay at home mom and my husband is usually gone as he works in the oilfields.
About my Loss:
My brother was my best and closest friend. It is still hard for me that he is gone. My 10 year marriage fell apart after my brother died. I realized how unhappy I had been in it and lost the will to keep it going. Because of this I now do not have our 4 children most of the time and allowed their dad to have primary custody which I think I will always regret. I am remarried now with 2 of our own children but I struggle daily with not being the mom my other kids need and want. I miss them all the time.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
