Profile Information

About Me:
I'm 44 married, I have 3 adult children and 3 adult step children. I have had custody of my 12 year old grandson since his birth. I don't work due to health issues (fibro) I enjoy knitting, playing on the computer and spending time with my family.
About my Loss:
On April 14th, 2011 I lost my mom. She died from a rare and terrible disease called Central Pontine Mylenoisis (CPM) Similar to MS the mylon sheath was attacked but only in the pons area of her brain. She lived for a year after diagnosis but had to deal with her body slowly shutting down month by month to the point where she could no longer breath. Her mind however stayed good so similar to ALS she was trapped in a body that would not work. I miss her so much and have never lost anyone close to me. I don't know how I'm suppose to feel or how I'm suppose to "move on"

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
